Quick chicken updates before the new ones come

The chicks are now 7 weeks old and are starting to look more like chickens, at least most of them do.

This is one of the Araucana/ameraucana/easter egger..whatever name you prefer since they aren't true Araucanas. We like to call this one Chicken hawk. I love the two toned coloring.

And who couldn't love this face?

This is one of the Blue laced Red Wyandottes.

Salmon Faverolle
Barred Rock
I wasn't able to get pictures of everyone.

Last, but certainly not least, is another Araucana. This one is just plain white........

Except for..........

These lovely green legs.

Funny; I took chicken shots today for a blog update of my own! But you got much better shots, especially those head shots of "Chicken Hawk." I am really enjoying our pullets; wish we had more variety like you, though.

I will have to check out your update, Michelle. Aren't chickens fun? Be careful though, they are addictive and before you know it you will be like me and some of each variety!

Our three elderly chickens (7 or 8 years old at least!) are still giving us 1 or 2 eggs a day - John takes care of them - he doesn't want me slipping and sliding around out there - Your chicken pics make me want to get chicks tho - (over his dead body, I think) - Your "spring loaded lamb" pictures are great - you should send them into the NASSA newsletter! Tina, that's great that your "old girls" are still producing for you.
Chicks are cute and fun, but they sure are a lot more work than the mature ladies!
