New and improved Fireflies

Same post, new video. The other was too hard to see and it was really bothering me so I took a new one and posted it on YouTube first (Blogger didn't want to load it). This one is only marginally better. I am mainly publishing this for our daughter, Nicole, who is currently living in Southern California and really missing the good old Midwest. Doozy, we'll see you in a couple of weeks : ).
Don't you just love Bioluminescence????

I love it. One of those little things we here in the midwest take for granted. I'll never forget the first time my in-laws saw "bugs that light up" for the very first time. :)

I have ALWAYS wanted to see fireflies! This is almost as good as being there...one day I definitely have to take a trip!

I hate my "getting old eyes"! I couldn't see them at all except for one at the very end. :-(

Fortunately, we have kazillions of them around here so I can sit out in my own backyard and watch them flicker around the pasture. I'm with you and your daughter ~ they are delightful to watch!

Nancy, it is really hard to see them unless you "biggify" the video...you're not getting old!!!

Loved the video, Cory,
and also the birdcalls in the background. We've had a few "lightning bugs" here, lately, too.

I love watching fireflies. We have quite a few in MA too, it was something I had never seen before moving here though. Great video :)
